Future wellcovered

BRIMBANK residents working to make a contribution to the future of their local community can be nominated to feature on the front cover of next year’s Yellow Pages and White Pages directory.
The theme for next year’s front cover is ‘Australians Creating a Better Future’.
“We are searching for people who are going above and beyond to make their community a better place for future generations,” White Pages manager Bri Williams said.
“We want to recognise people who are thinking beyond themselves and making positive contributions from an economic, social and environmental standpoint.
“Our communities are full of people who deserve recognition for their efforts in creating a better future. Their contributions are priceless in helping to sustain vibrant local communities, so we want to celebrate their achievements by putting them on the cover.”
Those submitting a nomination must outline in 200 words or less how the nominee has made a positive impact in your community.
The selection criteria covers areas such as leadership, participation in environmental activities, contribution to the local economy and acting for a common good with a focus on the future.
Nominations close at 5pm on Friday 24 September 2010. Short-listed nominees will be contacted and the cover person will be selected by a committee of judges and announced next year.
