Haven for artists

Bring the children along to create their own artworks.

HEAD for the Laurieton United Services Club next weekend if you’d like to see some great paintings and artworks.
The Hastings Valley Fine Art Association and The Slice of Haven are presenting The Spirit of the Camden Haven Art Exhibition to be held at the Laurieton United Services Club from Friday 23 May to Sunday 25 May. Admission costs $2 and the exhibition will be open from 10am to 5pm daily.
All paintings are original, in a variety of mediums and styles and are for sale, as well as cards and unframed paintings.
On the Sunday, Slice of Haven day, the association will be conducting a children’s art space. Bring along your budding artists, up to 10 years-old, to create their own masterpieces which will be put on display and judged at the end of the day for prizes.
Demonstration paintings will also be created during the day by three talented members of the art association. These works will be raffled and lucky winners will take these home at the conclusion of the festivities.
If you have time, follow the Hastings Art Trail to discover a diverse range of artwork, proudly displayed by artists in their home galleries. Enjoy a glimpse of the working life and creative journey of the artists as you travel through the beautiful countryside of the Hastings region. Please call in advance to ensure the home gallery will be open when you plan to visit.
