Thiviya, Vishva, Nivethitha and Ashlee are ready for the day of Sri Lankan fesitvities this weekend.
The Aurudu Udanaya festival is a celebration of the Sri Lankan Sinhala and Tamil new year.
The festivities, which include traditional dances, games, entertainment, food and desserts, will be held this Sunday, 6 April, at Sassella Park, 121 Station Street, Deer Park.
Festival committee member Sisira Gunasekara said one of the main objectives of the event was to improve social harmony and understanding between Australians of Sri Lankan background and the wider community.
This year there will also be performances from groups of different cultural backgrounds, including Indian, European and Bangladeshi.
