POLICE busted a Brookfield man for driving under the influence of drugs twice in three hours on Saturday night.
State Highway Patrol members intercepted a black BMW sedan on High St, Melton, just after 8.30pm and drug tested the driver who returned a positive reading for methamphetamine.
The 28-year-old received an infringement notice for having an unregistered vehicle and was banned from driving for 12 hours.
The same vehicle was intercepted again on Station St, Melton South around 11.30pm by another State Highway Patrol unit.
The man was again subjected to a road side drug test and again returned a positive reading.
He is expected to be charged on summons with a number of traffic related offences.
The driver will have his samples analysed in a laboratory, and if the test results are confirmed, he will face a $366 fine, and three month suspension of his licence.
