A SPOTSWOOD man was nabbed drink-driving last week following a collision in Newport.
Williamstown police were called to the intersection of Melbourne and Mason Roads earlier this month after a car collided with two vehicles stopped at traffic lights.
The 48-year-old driver returned a positive preliminary breath test at the scene.
He was taken to a police station where he had an evidentiary breath test reading of .221.
The man’s licence was immediately suspended.
He has been charged with careless driving and exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol and bailed by police to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later this year.
